  • Magnetic Hill (photo stop & short picnic)

  • Gurudwara Pathar Sahib (peaceful spiritual stop)

  • Confluence of Indus & Zanskar (short, eco-friendly walk to view the confluence and birds)

Midday

• Lunch at a local family-run café (we prioritize community businesses). Short rest back at Leh.

Afternoon

• Visit Thiksey or Shey Palace (choose one depending on timing) — both are culturally significant and great for golden-hour photos. Return to Leh for an easy evening.

Evening

• Romantic dinner option: arrange a private rooftop dinner overlooking Leh Bazaar or Shanti Stupa (subject to availability) with locally-prepared organic dishes.

Notes

• This is an acclimatisation-focused day — vehicle time is limited and we favor easy walks. Guides will monitor for AMS symptoms.

Early Morning

• 0700 hrs depart Leh for the high mountain pass Khardung La (IMPORTANT: acclimatisation and vehicle safety briefing first). Photo stop at the pass (bring warm layers).

• Descend into Nubra Valley (Siachen viewpoints on the way depending on visibility).

Midday

• Arrive Diskit. Check into an eco-friendly guesthouse/community homestay run by a local cooperative (this supports village incomes and minimizes environmental footprint). Lunch prepared from local produce.

Afternoon

• Visit Diskit Monastery (statue & terrace views), then head to Hunder to experience the cold desert sand dunes. Couples can take a scenic Bactrian camel ride across the dunes at sunset (optional add-on; we recommend a short 20–30 min ride — camels are managed by registered local herders).

• Enjoy a guided village walk to learn about local agriculture, sustainable practices and handicrafts.

Evening

• Overnight at an eco-camp or homestay: candle/light-safe lamp ambience (or solar lighting), locally-cooked dinner, a hot water provision and an informal folk-music evening arranged with local artists (low volume). Stargazing session after dinner — Nubra’s dark skies are spectacular for couples.

Romantic/eco touches

• Local storyteller session by a village elder; optional private bonfire if allowed and low impact.

Early Morning

• Sunrise at Hunder (if you choose). After breakfast, begin the long scenic drive back towards Leh and onwards to Pangong Tso via Shyok route (route depends on permission & weather).

Midday

• Packed picnic lunch using biodegradable containers (we avoid plastics). Short stops at viewpoints to admire the changing colors of high altitude lakes and river valley.

Afternoon

• Arrive at Pangong Tso (altitude ~4,350 m). Check into a sustainably-run lakeside camp or eco-lodge. Time to walk the lakeshore hand-in-hand and watch the water’s color change.

Evening

• Romantic lakeside dinner arranged for the couple (private table on request), followed by a quiet lakeside walk. Overnight at Pangong camp. Note: camps are simple but romantic — warm blankets, hot water, and composting toilets where possible.

Health & Safety

• Extra caution for altitude at Pangong. Guests must follow hydration and rest guidance.

Early Morning

• Pre-dawn lakeshore walk to watch Pangong sunrise — one of the highlight romantic moments of the trip. Optional short nature photography walk.

Midday

• After breakfast, depart Pangong for Leh. Stop at Chang La viewpoint (subject to route & permit). Packed lunch en route; arrive Leh by late afternoon.

Afternoon

• Check-in and rest. Free time for shopping, café visits, or an optional short spa/massage (advance booking recommended).

Evening

• Celebrate last night: arrange a small private cultural dinner or a quiet rooftop dinner with panoramic Leh views (book in advance). Overnight Leh.

Morning

• After a relaxed breakfast, visit any remaining local sites of interest (Leh Palace & Namgyal Tsemo, or a short guided nature walk around the Indus banks). Option for a short visit to Hemis monastery (time permitting).

Midday

• Return to hotel, checkout and transfer to Leh airport for your onward flight.
